Drum Corps International (DCI) is Marching Music’s Major League™.  For nearly 50 years, this incredible organization has spotlighted drum corps from around the world and thrilled the fans who support them.  After a year with no in-person pageantry or performance, DCI is ready to welcome participants back to the field.  Get ready to cheer them on as you join the exclusive DCI Fan Experience 2021 Tour!

What is the DCI Fan Experience 2021?

The DCI Fan Experience 2021 is a VIP tour for DCI fans, alumni, and music educators.  The tour includes top-notch accommodations, prime show tickets, celebrity lunches, and backstage access.

It’s presented in partnership with Drum Corps International and proudly sponsored by Kaleidoscope Adventures and Celtic Horizon Tours.

Who Can Participate?

Anyone who loves DCI!  Music directors, educators, DCI alumni, friends, and family can all take part in this unique tour opportunity.

A Celebration of Excellence

As the pandemic took its toll on music programs everywhere, the desire for safe, in-person performances grew.   The performer/audience relationship is symbiotic – one requires the other to truly thrive!

With a healthy dose of optimism and gutsy resolve, DCI began planning for the return of both.  “Celebration Events” is a three-day culmination of high-energy performances and crowds to cheer them on. 

The Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis hosts the non-competitive event, which will look a little different this year.  Participating ensembles will customize their programs with local and regional regulations in mind while still maintaining a spirit of performance excellence.

“There’s no doubt that there’s been an unprecedented amount of additional effort put forth to ensure that several thousand amazing young performers have the experience of a lifetime this summer,” said Dan Acheson, DCI CEO. “We didn’t think twice about taking on this daunting task because we know that it’s essential that we provide a world class performance stage for these remarkable young adults.”

Events will be streamed on FloMarching and feature specially produced, in-stadium video content and special ensemble performances.  They’ll also include a variety of creative adaptations of conventional drum corps field productions.

As performers triumphantly take the field once again, it will undoubtedly be with all the energy, passion, pomp, and pageantry you expect from DCI!

More Performance Opportunities

If you want in on the fun but can’t make the tour, register for one of DCI’s incredible virtual experiences.  Individual performers or ensembles worldwide can participate or compete in the DCI season from home!

SoundSport® Medalist Class

If you make music, you can perform in the SoundSport® Medalist Class!  Ensembles of all sizes and ages will shine on DCI’s virtual stage and receive a “festival rating.”

 SoundSport® Virtual Ensemble Class

If you can’t yet gather together to share the sweet sounds of music, create your own virtual ensemble!  Simply gather performance videos from your participants and create your masterpiece.  All ages welcome!

DCI Performers Showcase

DCI’s traditional I&E Competition returns in a virtual format for 2021.  The DCI Performers Showcase will highlight creative competitors from around the world and across multiple categories.
